Boxing Day Reading
4:00 pm

For his annual Boxing Day reading, Tom Walker will read from Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Written in 1861, Great Expectations follows the life and development of an orphan named Pip whose life changes suddenly when he is chosen by a secret benefactor to succeed to a life of “great expectations.” Dickens’ themes of wealth and poverty, love and rejection and the triumph of good over evil are as relevant today as they were in Victorian times.

The reading will be held at the North Cornwall Meeting House.
