Margaret Haske Hare – Director

Margaret Haske Hare

Margaret joined the Library in August 2011. She has a B.A. in Sociology from James Madison University and an M.A. in Gerontology from George Washington University. She and her husband Pat have co-written several publications on innovative living arrangements for seniors. Margaret is the sole proprietor of Friend of the Family, a consulting service in elder care.
In addition, she is deeply committed to childhood literacy and creative writing.

An avid Mah Jong player, Margaret has a fondness for British writers, especially Anita Brookner, Barbara Pym, and Margaret Drabble.

Raymonde Burke – Library Assistant

Raymonde Burke joined the Cornwall Library as a volunteer in 2013 and then became part-time staff in 2014. She is also on the Committee for Friends of the Library.She has an M.A. in Languages from Trinity College, Dublin and a degree in Education from Aberdeen University, Scotland.

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, she has lived in many countries but is now settled in the United States.

Raymonde really loves reading, both fiction and non-fiction, and enjoys discovering new authors.

Bronwyn O’Shaughnessy – Library Assistant

Bronwyn has been haunting libraries since her first grade class trip to the Litchfield Library. She has enjoyed being a part of many worlds; educational film, theatre, costume design, restaurants and catering, school data base systems, and oncology medical massage. When she is not reading, she is listening to books on CD or researching solutions to technology questions, writing, sewing, or, watching the stars.

Not a thing I don’t like to read — except canned food labels — they are just scary!
