Roxana Laughlin
Roxana’s garden features a magnificent stone retaining wall which is the background for a lively perennial border interspersed with the stronger accents of recently planted shrubs. This leads to a gently falling water garden and then up some steps to an enclosed garden with perennial beds surrounding a peaceful central design of box, myrica gale, and hellebores. Focusing especially on seasonal foliage, the garden has the added gift of a rich outlying landscape and is framed by a hillside filled with ancient trees and open fields defined by the strong lines of old stone walls.
