Garden 4 – A Charming Cottage Garden

When the owners took possession of their house in 1987 there was no garden – just an expanse of open hillside. Today, over 30 years later, the garden, which boasts a magnificent view, has a series of free-form beds planted with perennials and shrubs. They are punctuated by a series of dry stone walls and terraces made from stone found on the property.  Many trees have been planted to soften the formerly bare terrain while local rocks, worked into sculptural shapes, add year-round interest to this charming and very natural-looking garden.
