
Combined Media – Watercolor and Colored Pencils Class with Collette Hurst – Part Two
$75 includes all 3 weekly Saturday sessions – payable to the instructor at class
Class will be held in the Activity Room with personal spacing provided. 3 spaces available.
Create a combined media still life or landscape. Start with a watercolor underpainting and then add colored pencil accents and features as a second layer for color interest, texture, and defining details. Students of all levels welcome. Bring a simple watercolor set and painting supplies, acid free watercolor pad 9 x 12, colored pencil set, HB drawing pencil and kneaded eraser. Also bring a photograph of still life objects (or small real objects) or a landscape photograph.
Collette Hurst creates works in many media including watercolor, pastels, prismacolors, photography, and textiles. She resides in Litchfield County, Connecticut and presents art workshops for Litchfield Hills Continuing Education (EdAdvance), libraries, community centers, and private studio classes. She is a past President of the New Hartford (CT) Art League and was a contributing artist, associate producer, and host for several years of the weekly cable television program Artworks shown by Nutmeg TV in the Farmington Valley and Long Island Sound areas of Connecticut which presented interviews and work of Southern New England visual artists, musicians, and writers.
