Eva Chen Reading of “I Am Golden”
Live at The Cornwall Library
Eva Chen is a first-generation Chinese-American who grew up in New York City, and since 2020, the New York Times best-selling author and her family have been settled in Litchfield County. Eva released her 8th children’s book, I Am Golden, earlier this year. In collaboration with the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon, we are delighted to announce that on Saturday, May 7th at 10:30am, Eva will be sitting down with a group of our young patrons and their caregivers at The Cornwall Library to read her latest work. The reading will be followed by an audience-led Q&A, light refreshments, and a crafting project. Copies of I Am Golden will be available for sale and signing. Purchase a copy of the book online for pick up at the Library. Please register as attendance is limited.
Illustrated by Sophie Diao, I Am Golden is a joyful picture book that encourages children to celebrate their identities through self-love and validation. The book includes a special author’s note, featuring Eva’s family photos, and a list of resources for Asian American advocacy.
Previously the editor-in-chief of Lucky, Eva has also written for ELLE, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Vogue China, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. She is currently the head of fashion partnerships at Instagram.
