Film Screening: “Top Hat & Tales: Harold Ross and the Making of The New Yorker”
Please join us for a talk and showing of Top Hat & Tales: Harold Ross and the Making of The New Yorker, produced and directed by Cornwall resident Adam Van Doren, and narrated by Stanley Tucci. This 50-minute documentary chronicles the early days of the New Yorker Magazine, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Featured interview subjects in the film include many of the magazine’s cartoonists and editors, past and present, including David Remnick, Roz Chast, Roger Angell, Brendan Gill, John Updike, and Lillian Ross, among others. Author Alex Prud’homme will be in conversation with Van Doren following the film.
