On Wednesday, February 17 at 7 PM via Zoom, see and listen to Heather Dinneen, Social Services Director in Cornwall, and John Simoncelli, Director of Greenwoods Counselling Referrals. This is co-sponsored by the Cornwall Association and the Cornwall Library.
Heather Dinneen has served as Director of Social Services for the Town of Cornwall since October 2018. Heather holds Master’s Degrees in Social Work and Strategic Fundraising and Philanthropy. Heather has extensive experience as a clinician as well as in fundraising for nonprofit organizations. While Heather grew up in Cornwall, Heather currently resides in Great Barrington, Massachusetts with her daughter, Willa.
John Simoncelli is a Clinical Social Worker and Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He holds Master’s Degrees in Social Work and Public Administration from the University of Connecticut. A practicing mental health therapist, and addiction specialist, John joined Greenwoods as the Executive Director in 2017. He is a lifelong resident of Litchfield County and cares deeply about his community, committed to improving access to mental health treatment. John is a member of the Executive Committee of the Litchfield County Opiate Task Force and is passionate about educating the public concerning the connections between trauma, addiction, and other mental health issues.
