During the regular Storytime with Rita Delgado hour, Miss Rita will introduce a winter StoryWalk® experience to expose young patrons and their families to Susan Cooper’s poem celebrating the winter solstice, “The Shortest Day.” The book’s beautiful illustrations by Caldecott honoree Carson Ellis will be displayed on marked posts in sequence around the front of the Library on Pine Street. The intention is to encourage some family discussions and appreciation of the transitioning of seasons.
