Art class with Collette Hurst: June 13, 20, and 27, 10 a.m. to 11:30 am. Paint Summer Scenes – Watercolor and Gouache.

Use watercolor or gouache for indoor and outdoor painting (weather permitting). The classroom will be available if you do not wish to paint outdoors. Supplies available for use in class if you do not have them.

A talk by Jonathan Galassi, renowned editor, author, and poet.

Jonathan Galassi is the chairman and executive editor of Farrar, Straus & Giroux. He is the author of four books of poetry, including his latest, The Vineyard, and has published translations of the Italian poets Giacomo Leopardi, Primo Levi, and Eugenio Montale.

This talk will be held at the Cornwall Town Hall, 26 Pine Street in Cornwall Village, and will be followed by a cocktail reception next door at The Cornwall Library with live music by the Crownback Funk Trio.

Calling all builders! Join us in the community room for a monthly LEGO club meeting. We will work on a theme-related project together and then spend time free-building. We’ll provide the bricks, just bring your imagination! Registration required, ages 5 and up.

Art Opening: Constance Old: Postcards from My Kitchen, 2007-2026. Opening reception June 27 at 5pm.

Constance Old has been making work with up-cycled paper and plastic for 20 years. Her practice includes textile pieces, collage, and installation. The Cornwall Library exhibit will be an installation of collages made from self-adhesive stickers.

The art will be on display until August 22.
