ASW Pilates

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:30 – 9:30 am

Coming from a background in dance, Alice Wolf has been a Certificate Pilates Instructor for over 25 years. Her ASW Pilates Class has been developed to focus on working the body very gently and methodically to lengthen muscles and open and release areas of tension. It incorporates breathing, floor, mat and chair work to strengthen the spine, increase mobilization to the feet and hands and improve center balance and alignment. Her goal is for every person to walk out of class feeling as though they are awake, alert and have just received a full body massage.

Session runs 10 weeks (one class per week)

Zumba Class

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
$10 per class

Due to popular demand, Zumba classes are being held every Tuesday evening and now every Thursday evening. No registration is required but the class will not be held for fewer than three participants. $10/class; no reservations necessary. Traditional Hatha Yoga with Nancy Opgaard

Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 10:00 am
Sundays from 9:00 am to 10:15 am

Mah Jongg

Thursdays at 7 pm

There’s at least one table going every Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Drop-ins are welcome and no experience is necessary.


Thursdays at 10 am

Every third Thursday of the month, at 10 am, a devoted group of knitters gets together at the Library and works up some hats which are then delivered to the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Torrington for cancer patients. The group has produced 83 hats…and the knitters are still knitting!
